KYBELLA | FAT DISSOLVING
Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment designed to permanently dissolve stubborn pockets of fat using deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule already found in the body that helps break down and absorb dietary fat.

While Kybella is most commonly known for treating submental fullness, also known as a “double chin,” it can also be used in other small, stubborn areas resistant to diet and exercise. When strategically injected, Kybella helps contour and refine areas by gradually breaking down targeted fat cells over time.

At Glowhaus, my approach to fat dissolving focuses on subtle sculpting and natural-looking contour rather than aggressive over-treatment. Common treatment areas may include the chin and jawline, bra fat, upper abdomen, lower stomach, thighs, knees, banana rolls, and other small areas of localized fullness depending on anatomy and candidacy.

Kybella is not a weight loss treatment and works best for clients who are already close to their goal weight but struggle with specific areas that do not respond to lifestyle changes alone. Most clients require a series of treatments and multiple vials for optimal results depending on the area treated and the amount of fullness present.
Swelling after treatment is completely normal and expected, especially in the chin area. Final results develop gradually as the body naturally clears the treated fat cells over several weeks.

Most clients require a series of 2–6 treatments spaced approximately 4–8 weeks apart depending on the treatment area, amount of fullness, and desired level of contouring. Some smaller areas may improve with fewer sessions, while larger or more stubborn areas often require additional treatments for optimal results.
Initial improvement can typically begin to be seen within 4–6 weeks after treatment, with continued refinement developing over several months as the body naturally processes and eliminates the treated fat cells.

Every treatment plan is fully customized based on your anatomy, goals, and overall facial or body balancing approach. Consultations are recommended to determine candidacy and create the most effective treatment plan for your desired outcome.
