TOXIN TOUCH-UP POLICY
Neurotoxin touch-ups are sometimes necessary and completely normal. Small adjustments may be needed due to natural facial asymmetry, stronger muscle movement on one side, uneven movement, or areas that heal differently than expected.
Complimentary touch-ups are intended only for minor asymmetry or unusual movement after treatment. If additional product is needed because stronger muscles require a higher dose, additional units must be purchased.
For all neurotoxin treatments, you must wait a full 14 days before scheduling a touch-up appointment. This allows the product to fully settle and ensures accurate assessment of your final results. Treating too early can increase the risk of heaviness, unevenness, or eyelid/brow ptosis.
Each time a neuromodulator is introduced into the body, it triggers your immune system to recognize it and over time this leads to resistance to the neuromodulator. The goal is to limit the number of times it's introduced, which can help prolong your treatment and reduce the chance of it becoming less effective. This is why touch-ups can be necessary in the beginning until we get your dosage and placement just right, but touch-ups should not be something you continue to do each time or you will likely start becoming resistant more quickly.
I take a conservative and natural approach to neurotoxin treatments, especially for first-time clients. My goal is to create balanced, soft, and natural-looking results rather than an overdone appearance. Because of this approach, some clients may choose to add additional units after seeing their final results. This is considered an adjustment in dosing and is not a complimentary touch-up.
I generally recommend waiting at least 3–4 months between full neurotoxin treatments to help reduce the risk of product resistance over time. Some clients may also benefit from rotating toxin brands periodically.
All neurotoxin products arrive as a dry powder and must be reconstituted prior to injection. Product dilution may vary slightly depending on the treatment area and desired outcome; however, you will always receive the exact number of units purchased.
Individual response to neurotoxins can vary. Some clients naturally metabolize products faster, may respond differently to certain formulations, or may develop resistance over time. Because of this, identical results with every treatment of toxin brand cannot be guaranteed.
Complimentary touch-ups must be completed within 3 weeks of your original appointment. After this timeframe, additional units will be charged accordingly.
Touch-up appointments are considered reserved appointment times and are subject to the cancellation policy. Complimentary services are not available on weekends. Weekend touch-up appointments will incur a $50 fee.
