PDO SMOOTH THREADS

PDO smooth threads are one of my favorite regenerative treatments for improving skin quality, texture, firmness, and subtle tightening without adding volume or creating an overfilled look. These dissolvable collagen-stimulating threads are placed just beneath the skin to help naturally support and rejuvenate the tissue over time.

PDO threads are made from a biocompatible surgical suture material that has been safely used in medicine for decades. Once placed beneath the skin using a tiny cannula, the threads stimulate your body’s natural collagen production and create gradual tightening, strengthening, and skin rejuvenation as they dissolve.

Unlike traditional filler, smooth threads do not add volume. Instead, they work by improving the quality and structure of the skin itself, making them a great option for clients focused on preventative aging, skin tightening, crepey skin, fine lines, and natural collagen support.

Common treatment areas include the cheeks, jawline, neck, under eyes, smile lines, lips, forehead, chest, knees, stomach, and other areas with thinning or lax skin. PDO smooth threads pair beautifully with regenerative treatments such as PRF, biostimulators, microneedling, and skin rejuvenation therapies.

Most clients begin noticing improvement within a few weeks, with continued collagen production and tightening developing over 2–3 months after treatment. Results are subtle, natural, and build gradually over time.

For best results, most clients benefit from a series of 2–4 treatments spaced approximately 4–8 weeks apart depending on skin quality, age, collagen loss, and treatment goals. Maintenance treatments are typically recommended every 6–12 months to continue supporting collagen production and skin health.

While PDO smooth threads are often called a “lunchtime facelift,” the goal at Glowhaus is never an exaggerated or overly pulled appearance. My approach focuses on soft, regenerative results that help the skin look healthier, firmer, and naturally refreshed over time.
